Discipline Global Mobile (DGM, or Discipline GM) is an independent record label founded in 1992 by Robert Fripp (best known as guitarist and main composer for the band King Crimson) and producer/online content developer David Singleton. DGM has released solo music by Fripp as well as work by various affiliated musicians and bands including King Crimson, The Vicar, the California Guitar Trio and others. The label has offices in Salisbury, England, and Los Angeles, California. Robert Fripp
Robert Fripp (born 16 May 1946) is an English musician, composer, record producer, and author, best known as the guitarist, founder and longest-lasting member of the progressive rock band King Crimson. He has worked extensively as a session musician and collaborator, notably with David Bowie, Blondie (band), Blondie, Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Daryl Hall, the Roches, Talking Heads, and David Sylvian. Fripp & Eno
Fripp & Eno is a UK-based ambient music side project composed of musician and composer Brian Eno and guitarist Robert Fripp. The duo have released four studio albums, beginning with 1973's '' No Pussyfooting''. The music created by this pair is entirely instrumental and makes extensive use of Frippertronics, a tape delay technique developed by Fripp. Much of the duo's music combines Frippertronics with Fripp's guitar, the Fripp Pedalboard and Frizzbox (with subsequent sound treatments by Eno) along with Eno playing various keyboards, synthesizers and modified Revox A77 tape recorders. The ProjeKcts
''The ProjeKcts'' is a 1999 box set of four live albums recorded between December 1997 and March 1999 by the four experimental sub-groups of the band King Crimson known as the ProjeKcts. Overview From 1997 to 1999, King Crimson 'fraKctalised', or forked, into four successive experimental sub-groups, dubbed ProjeKct One, Two, Three and Four, with the aim of finding new directions and material. All of them included Robert Fripp on guitar and Trey Gunn on Warr guitar, alongside one of the band's drummers and, in ProjeKcts One and Four, Tony Levin on bass and Chapman Stick. The music was mostly improvised at first, but themes emerged which were then developed by further improvisation in successive iterations. The League Of Crafty Guitarists
Guitar Craft (GC) was a series of guitar and personal-development classes, founded and often presented by Robert Fripp, who is best known for his work with the rock band King Crimson. Guitar Craft courses introduced students to new standard tuning and ergonomic playing with the plectrum (pick), often using steel-stringed, acoustic, shallow-body guitars from the Ovation Guitar Company. By 2011, three thousand students had completed the courses. Students who continue to practise Guitar Craft playing have been called "crafties". Notable crafties include Trey Gunn and the California Guitar Trio (all four of whom, with Fripp, constituted The Robert Fripp String Quintet) and Markus Reuter. Robert Steven "Adrian" Belew (born December 23, 1949) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. John Paul Jones (born John Baldwin; 3 January 1946) is an English musician and record producer who was the bassist and keyboardist for the rock band Led Zeppelin.
